New Project: The Faeral Collection

I’m excited to share that I’ve started working on a new collection, although it will be quite different from my previous ones, in that it will be a purely conceptual and artistic endeavor. As a business owner, I’ve found over the years that even when creating a business that you love, incorporating your creative vision, at the end of the day it is still a business. I love what I do and will continue to do it, but this year I wanted to begin some work that wasn’t commercial and rather was done simply for the sake of it. Call it an indulgence, if you like. 🙂

For the Faeral Collection, I will be drawing inspiration from the feral/primal spirit inherent within us, within the natural world, as well as the Otherworld -that strange in-between land of faeries, elementals, wights, and so on… I am reading up on all of this quite a bit as well as spending a lot of time in the forest, and am finding that there is truly an endless wellspring of inspiration to draw from.

I plan to share my process for creating this collection along the way, as I find the real magic is in the process itself. Not entirely sure what this is all going to look like in completion, but that’s totally fine by me. You can follow the process here or on my IG account (@corvidaegoods). No matter what, this collection will be a dance with the Otherworld, a dance with my Muse. x
